Lecture on Common Errors in Official Correspondence and Documents at the Faculty of Nursing

The Faculty of Nursing organized a lecture titled "Common Errors in Official Correspondence and Documents." The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kasra Zuhairi and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Lubna Dawood, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Taweel, and a group of university academic staff. Additionally, some heads of departments and sections were present, including Mr. Mazen Haidar.
The lecture highlighted several rules that should be followed in official correspondence and discussed some common errors found in official documents, along with their corrections. Some of the examples presented included:
* صادق الوزير على كتابنا (خطأ) * وافق الوزير على كتابنا (صح)
* هناك ثمة إرشادات نوجهها (خطأ) * ثمة إرشادات نوجهها (صح)
* أوشك الفصل الدراسي على نهايته (خطأ) * أوشك الفصل الدراسي أن ينتهي (صح).
The importance of sending printed materials to the Arabic Language Department to correct any errors, if any, was emphasized.
The lecturer pointed out that these mistakes can often be avoided, but we persist in making them.
At the end of the lecture, the floor was opened for discussions, and the attendees had several inquiries.
