Scientific Harvest at the Faculty of Hospital Administration

Under the auspices of the President of Al Andalus Private University for Medical Sciences, Professor Dr. Hussain Mayhoub Salman, and in cooperation with the Al Andalus University Branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, the Faculty of Hospital Administration held a student harvest for the college in the presence of the following on Friday 8-3-2024 in the grand auditorium of the University:
The Head of the Trusted Council of the University, Dr. Abd Alnasser Harfoush; the Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Kanaan Al-Tamimi; and the Vice President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ali Ibrahim; in addition to the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hussain Ibrahim; other faculty deans, and a large number of teachers, students, and administrative staff.
The harvest began with a minute of silence for the souls of our honorable martyrs, the Syrian Arab anthem, and a welcome speech by the dean of said faculty, in which he spoke about the importance of the faculty and its role in the scientific development of the university.
Student Tabarak Baddour opened the event with the first research titled (The Role of Knowledge Management in Strengthening Competitive Advantage: A Field Study on Latakia City Hospitals), supervised by Dr. Ahmad Salman.
The second project, titled (The Impact of Human Resources Management Practices on the Performance of Employees at Al Andalus University Hospital), was prepared by student Yamar Kamoun and supervised by Professor Dr. Rami Zidan.
The third project, titled (The Role of Financial Information Systems in Controlling Environmental Variables in the Hospital Sector: A Field Study in Private Hospitals in Tartous Governorate), was prepared by student Reem Na’asan and supervised by Prof. Dr. Ayman Shiha.
Some projects were then presented by teaching staff members at the Faculty of Hospital Administration, which were published in various local and foreign journals, including:
1- The Relationship between the Distribution of Private Investment Projects in Syrian Governorates and their Population Distribution: A Study from 2007 to 2011, by Prof. Dr. Rami Zidan (Lecturer at said Faculty);
2- Contributing to Solve the Quadratic Assignment Problem: An Application to Al Andalus University Hospital in the Governorate of Tartous, by Dr. Waseem Bilal, (Administrative Vice Dean at Faculty); published in the Tartous University Journal for Research and Studies;
3- The Reality of Applying Wise Management in Public Hospitals: A Case Study of the General Authority of Al Basil Hospital in Tartous, by Dr. Rasha Hamdouch (Scientific Vice Dean at Faculty of Hospital Administration), published in Quest Journals- Journal of Business and Management.
The research is by Dr. Rasha Hamdouche (Scientific Vice Dean at the College of Hospital Administration).
At the end of the harvest, certificates of appreciation were distributed to students, professors, and researchers, among which was a certificate of appreciation to the National Union of Syrian Students, represented by colleague Mahmoud al-Hindi, for their cooperation in organizing this harvest.
