A Lecture by Dr. Saly Dagher for Voronezh State University Pharmacy Students

In accordance with the academic exchange agreement between Al Andalus University and Voronezh State University (Voronezh - Russia), an online lecture was given by Dr. Sali Dagher, a teaching member of staff at the Faculty of Pharmacy - Al Andalus University, on December 16, 2021.
The lecture's topic was "Fundamentals of Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management", and it was given to fifth year pharmacy students at Voronezh State University. The lecture tackled the characteristics and techniques of drug promoting in a number of foreign countries, especially in the Syrian pharmaceutical market. The students learned about the most effective techniques of drug promotion at different stages of the pharmaceutical organization's life cycle.
At the end of the lecture, the students actively participated in the discussion about the differences between the Syrian and Russian pharmaceutical markets. Moreover, the discussion highlighted the impact of the economic crisis on the Syrian pharmaceutical market. Students, along with Dr. Daghir, came to a conclusion about the significant impact of government pharmaceutical regulations in terms of using specific techniques in drug promoting.
Dr. Dagher expressed her gratitude to both Al Andalus University and Voronezh State University for giving her this chance to give a lecture in Russian, which proved to be a real challenge.
As part of further cooperation between the two universities, an online lecture on the science of pharmaceutical economics will be given in English by Dr. Maria Kurolap, a member of academic staff in the Department of Pharmaceutical Management and Economics, to students at Al Andalus University next semester.
