· Module Description
This module introduces students to the basic concepts related to nutrition and dietary requirements for maintaining health. It also addresses the factors that affect eating habits and their relationship to the nutritional status and health of the individual.

o 25%: Class activity.
o 75%: End-of-term exam.

Introduction to nutrition, international organizations, basic types of food, nutritional needs, therapeutic diets, weight management and nutritional considerations.
