Al Andalus University’s Library

The library, in any high-class scientific institution, is like the lung in the human being. It provides the people of that institution with what is necessary for their scientific development to become scientifically healthy and active in their communities. It is no wonder, then, that Al Andalus University was interested in establishing a world-class library that suits the university and its students, and there it is; the university’s central library. The library is located on the second floor of the main building of the university. It contains a comfortable and quiet reading room. The library contains many textbooks, reference books and medical journals (to serve the faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, medical engineering). It also contains five paper-based references, ten digital references and five journals, for each module, indexed according to the syllabus approved by the Ministry of Higher Education. They are chosen under the supervision of the university academic staff. The references are updated at a rate of one paper-based reference, two digital references and one journal every half a year.

The central library is also the place where the celebrations of the university’s annual Scientific Day (in April) and the students’ annual Scientific Day (in November) are held
