Meeting of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with a Delegation from Al Andalus University for Medical Sciences

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, met with a delegation from Al Andalus University, headed by Dr. Hussein Suleiman, the university's president. They discussed the academic and educational reality at the university. Minister Al-Halabi highlighted the role of private universities in sustainable development, noting that they are national institutions and form one wing of higher education. He praised their role in promoting social peace and preserving the unity of Syrian society.
For their part, the delegation presented the university's standing within the private higher education sector, explaining that the university comprises six faculties and ranked second in scientific research. This year, it published 70 indexed and registered articles.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Suwaid, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Private University Affairs, and Dr. Numeir Issa, Director of Cultural Relations at the ministry.
