A Scientific Visit to the Oncology Center at Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia for Fourth-Year Students of the Faculty of Nursing

The Faculty of Nursing at Al-Andalus University paid a scientific visit to the Oncology Center at Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia by fourth-year students in the context of practical follow-up of the oncology subject. The visit included the departments for male, female, and pediatric cancer patients, allowing students to engage and communicate with cancer patients, prepare case histories, and provide some nursing interventions after discussing specific cases with doctors and reviewing patients' files, including lab tests, investigations, and prescribed treatments.
Students also entered the chemotherapy preparation rooms to observe how they were organized. Finally, they visited the outpatient clinics of the center, interacting with patients who were attending for their regular doses, learning how to administer them, and emphasizing the importance of regular follow-ups for dose schedules and adherence to necessary recommendations.
