Chemical training program as a part of the laboratory management work plan to develop and qualify laboratory staff

As a part of the Laboratories Department's work plan to develop and qualify the laboratory staff, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Kanaan Al-Tamimi, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Prof. Dr. Ali Ibrahim, Vice President of the University for Administrative and Student Affairs, Ms. Amani Abu Hassoun, the General Supervisor of Al-Andalus University Laboratories, held a chemical training program that included the following topics:
1- Laboratory safety and security rules
2- An overview of hazardous chemicals and organic materials present in laboratories, as well as safe handling and storage procedures.
3- Different types of concentrations in chemistry and their rules.
4- Reading the information provided on the labels of pure ready-made chemical containers.
5- How to calculate the concentrations of pure chemical containers and solutions.
6- How to prepare solutions according to the required concentrations starting from the pure base material in solid or liquid form.
7- How to prepare the most important chemical reagents in biochemistry.
8- Proper disposal of chemical waste.
