For the first time in the Faculty of Medicine, an original paper was published in a D1-rated journal and for the first time from Syria, a paper by Dr. Sawsan Ismail was published in The American Journal of Molecular Diagnostics.
Dr. Sawsan Ismail has published a research paper titled "Comparing the Expression of CD34 and ALDH1a1 between High-Grade and Low-Grade Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas: A Molecular Study with Promising Prognostic Roles" in the *Journal of Molecular Diagnostics*. This journal is the official publication of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) and the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), with a Citefactor of 7.1, and is published by Elsevier.
Dr. Sawsan Ismail is the first researcher from Syria to publish in this prestigious journal. Additionally, this research has been accepted for the first time as a Syrian study to be presented at the European meeting of the AMP in Madrid in 2024. The study was conducted in collaboration with Professor Yahya Al-Shamali from UCLA in the United States and Professor Dr. Zohair Al-Shihabi, Director of the Cancer Research Center at Tishreen University.
