Scientific Activity at the Faculty of Nursing Titled: Childhood in the Circle of Domestic Violence - Realities and Challenges.

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing held a scientific activity titled "Childhood in the Circle of Domestic Violence - Realities and Challenges," under the auspices of the university's administration. The event was attended by Dr. Abdul Nasser Harfoush, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Mohammad Mualla, Academic Affairs Advisor to the University President, Professor Dr. Ali Ibrahim, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the deans of the Faculties of Medicine and Hospital Management, Dr. Eiad Khalil, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, along with several faculty members and students from the university.
During the activity, Dr. Lubna Dawood and Dr. Waad Ali discussed domestic violence in general, and domestic violence directed towards children in particular. They covered indicators of domestic violence, its types, health complications, and the effects of stress hormones, particularly cortisol.
The activity concluded with a theatrical performance related to the topic, titled " Memory of a Thorn."
