Al-Andalus University Participates in the Second Course on the Basics of Nursing within the Community Centers Program at the Syrian Trust for Development

The second course on the basics of nursing has finished, as it was held by the Department of Active and Strong Communities in Al-Sheikh Daher Community Center within the Community Centers Program in the Syrian Trust for Development in Latakia, and in cooperation with the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Andalus University for Medical Sciences. The course has targeted relatives of war injured people and was supervised by Dr. Friyal Nizamli (Nursing Faculty Scientific Vice Dean) and Ms. Sally Zidan. The training sessions have included the following topics:
Vital Signs
Preparation of Injectable Medications
Intramuscular Injection
Subcutaneous Injection
Care of Venous Catheter
Emergency of Burns
Emergency of Bleeding and Airway Blockage
Care of Immobile Patients (Moving the Patient, Range of Motion of Joints, Chest Physiotherapy, Prevention of Bed Sores)
