An Al-Andalus University Delegate Team Visits George Emil Palade University in Romania

Within the Framework of Erasmus + Programme,
Based on the agreement signed between Al-Andalus Private University for Medical Sciences and George Emile Palade Romanian University, and under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Syrian Arab Republic, a delegate team from Al-Andalus Private University had a briefing visit to the Romanian University, George Emile Palade. The team was headed by Prof. Dr. Ali Ibrahim, Vice President for Administrative and Students Affairs, and Dr. Eng. Muhammad Ayham Darwish, Head of the Department of Biomechanics in the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Andalus University. The visit lasted from July 3 to 9, 2022 with the aim of enhancing scientific, academic, and administrative cooperation between the two universities.
The visit program consisted of three informative tours for the purpose of identifying the scientific research topics of the host Romanian university, especially in the faculties of Biomedical Engineering and Economics. There was also a visit to the most important teaching and research laboratories of the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry. Meetings were conducted with the Directors of the Quality Assurance Center, the Director of Program and Course Plan Development, the Director of the Student Counseling and Mental Health Center, and the Director of Libraries at the University.
The visit culminated with a meeting with the President of the Romanian University, Prof. Leonard Azamfirei, to discuss ways of research and academic cooperation between the two universities.
The end of the visit included exchanging shield gifts and taking photos as an expression of the warm relations and friendship between the two universities, while emphasizing the need to have more visits and delegations in a way that contributes to the development of research and academia.
