A Distinguished Surgery at Al Andalus University Hospital

A brain tumor (left occipital lobe tumor) excision surgery has been performed to a 57-year male patient suffering from persistent headache and blurred vision. The tumor was completely excised without damaging the surrounding brain parenchyma. The surgery lasted for four hours, then the patient was moved to the ICU for one day and then to the department of surgery where he spent four days. The patient was discharged from the hospital feeling well without any side effects and retaining the same ability of eyesight with potential improvement having had the cerebral edema removed.
