Fundamentals of Nursing 2
· Module Description
The module introduces students to different concepts in nursing practice focusing on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, functional health models and the use of the nursing process. The module provides students with knowledge about the theoretical concepts, values and standards of the profession, behaviours and skills necessary to provide basic and efficient nursing care for patients in hospitals.
· Assessment methods
o 40%: Class activity.
o 60%: End-of-term exam.

Dietary requirements, body mechanics, rest and sleep, oxygenation, nursing evaluation, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and nursing documentation.
