Communication Skills

· Module Description

The module introduces students to communication, its types and levels. It also describes self-concept, helps students understand and learn about self. In addition, in this module students study the basics, principles, theories of communication, the factors influencing the effectiveness of communication and how to develop communication skills. The module also focuses on the interaction between the individual and the group and between the individual and the environment.

· Assessment methods

o 25%: Class activity.

o 75%: End-of-term exam.

Introduction to the importance of communication, communication, factors affecting communication, types of communication, obstacles to communication, communication with patients in some special cases, the team and the dynamics of the group.
