· Module Description

The module introduces students to the importance of English in various fields of life, study of academic texts and methods of analysis, writing in English and its methods, general communication skills, basic English grammar and vocabulary and methods of acquisition.

· Assessment methods

o 25%: Class activity.

o 75%: End-of-term exam.

· Module Syllabus

Introduction, basic definitions, components of the term, rules of pronunciation and speaking, rules of plurals of the terms, roots, suffixes, terms related to the human body and medical texts.
