Students should acquire knowledge and understanding of the physics of radioactive isotopes and their medical applications in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Introduction to nuclear medicine and its equipment; nuclear reactions and their characteristics; methods of preparing radioactive isotopes; radioactive isotopes used in nuclear medicine; linear accelerators and their types; radioactive detectors and their properties; Gama camera and its uses; radiotherapy in nuclear medicine; proton radiotherapy; radiation shielding in nuclear medicine.
