Students should acquire knowledge and understanding of telemedicine communication techniques and be able to use the technological advancements in communication at the service of medicine and health.

Telemedicine and its applications; communication networks and their services; types of wireless communications used in medical communications; wireless technology for patient monitoring (Body Area Network, emergency rescue and teletherapy); Health Level 7; telesurgery; and biotelemetry.
