At the end of the module the student should be able to use computer-based statistical applications and use statistical programmes in biological applications.

- Module Syllabus
Introduction to biostatistics, types and sources of data, summarization of data (measure of central tendency and measures of dispersion), statistical assumptions and theories, standard error and confidence limits, comparison of sets (continuous data, discrete data, relative error, random variables, statistical distribution, multiple correlation and regression, atypical tests, use of computers and programmes in statistical applications.
