Module Description

Module Goals

This module aims to:

  • Introduce students to the general principles of pharmaceutical management and marketing.
  • Familiarize students with the concepts of marketing strategies and the specificity of the pharmaceutical product as a commercial substance.
  • Help students understand the role of the pharmacist in society as medicinal promoter and a patient’s guide.

Assessment Methods

  • Individual questions, quizzes, evaluation of external activities, theoretical and practical tests. These constitute 40% of total mark of the

Module Syllabus

This module presents pharmaceutical management and marketing as a science with important concepts and principles a pharmacist needs to master, as they constitute a general area of ​​work. Therefore, it is necessary to master the rules governing this work and activate the role of the pharmacist as an important intermediary between the producer and the patient in a way that affirms the moral role of the pharmacist in society. In addition, the module enables students to understand how to deliver the pharmaceutical product in a commercial manner without departing from the humanitarian and moral role related to the specificity of the product.
