This module aims to introduce the student to:

• the roots of treatment using medicinal plants.
• the most important plant preparations and how to make them.
• the classification of plant preparations according to their therapeutic usage.
• the composition and titration of plant preparations.

Assessment Methods

• Periodical quizzes & discussion.
• A final exam to assess the general knowledge of the student.

Module Syllabus

This module presents the applied scientific information acquired by students when studying Pharmacognosy and Pharmacognostical Chemistry, where they are acquainted with the medicinal use of different medicinal plants for various known diseases.
