Module Goals
This module aims to introduce students to the basic principles and strategies in pharmaceutical chemistry.

Module Syllabus
This module is concerned with the study of physical and chemical properties of drugs, their absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. It includes an introduction to pharmaceutical chemistry and covers various subjects such as general and local anesthetics, antidiabetics, asthma medications, disinfectants and inhibitors of renin-angiotensin system. It also teaches beta-blockers.
