Module Description

Module Goals

This module aims to:

  • Introduce the student to the basic structure and general characteristics of bacteria and viruses.
  • Identify pathogenic germs and viruses that affect humans and what diseases they cause.
  • Identify methods of diagnosing and treating of infectious diseases caused by bacteria and viruses.

Assessment Methods

  • Individual questions, quizzes, evaluation of homework and external activities, theoretical and practical tests. These constitute 40% of total mark of the
