Module Description
This module aims to complement the practical information on common pharmaceuticals, that the student acquired in Physical Pharmacy 1. It discusses different types of dosage forms in some details especially their physical properties and the effects of these properties on the pharmacokinetics of active materials (absorption, distribution and excretion). The module also aims to demonstrate the physical characteristics of the biological drugs and their effects on the usage and production of these types of drugs.
Preparing an evaluation report about the student’s activity during the experiment at the end of each session.
Written and practical tests during the semester.
Theoretical and practical final exams.
Liquid dosage forms such as solutions, emulsions, colloidal liquids.
Polymers and large particles and their pharmaceutical roles.
The applicable side for these materials.
Properties and the usage of the liquid dosage forms and their components.
The physical inconsistencies, their causes and how to overcome them.
