.Module Description
Module Goals
The module aims to provide the student with theoretical and practical information on diseases that affect the human body and how to diagnose these diseases. In addition, it aims to teach the student the methods of taking vital signs, drug delivery by injection, blood draw, administering of IV fluids, etc. It also introduces ways to manage some emergency cases such as wounds and burns.
- Assessment Methods
- Individual questions during the lecture, quick tests covering the complete period of the module, evaluation of scientific activities, and theoretical and practical tests. These constitute 25% of total mark of the module
- A final exam constituting 75% of total mark
Module Syllabus
Various diseases affecting the human body: the most important infectious diseases, diseases of various organ systems (such as the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, etc.), liver diseases, blood diseases, diseases of glands, and diabetes.
Study of the clinical signs and symptoms of diseases and the methods of diagnosing, managing and treating them.
