Module Description

  • Module Goals

This module aims to provide students with knowledge about:

  • Information systems and their role in decision-making, scientific documentation, chemicals, drugs and toxins, financial information, and office automation.
  • Computer and Internet: electronic correspondence, Internet and medical & pharmaceutical media, open and exploratory sites, subscriptions in scientific sites and its scientific importance.
  • Computer and its role in applied sciences, basic sciences and health sciences. Medical information exchange. Computer and public Health.
  • Computer and scientific research, how to extract information. Collecting information, data processing and statistical importance. Combination and intersection, data processing and statistical importance, presentation and clarification patterns, scientific honesty and the truth of scientific information.
  • Computer and its professional applications such as hospital pharmacy, industrial production, medical laboratories, private pharmacies and computer and storage.

 

  • Assessment Methods
  • Individual questions during the lecture, quick tests covering the complete period of the module, evaluation of external activities, and theoretical and practical tests. These constitute 40% of total mark of the module.
  • A final exam constituting 60% of total
