As part of Al Andalus University for Medical Sciences' efforts to enhance the clinical and digital skills of its dental students and graduates, and in conjunction with the Conference on Digital Applications and Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry—held parallel to the First Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering—a series of specialized workshops were conducted under the supervision of a distinguished group of experts.

These workshops focused on the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in precise diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as modern digital design applications in dentistry. The workshops covered the following topics:

  • Training Workshop in Endodontic Therapy:
This session provided hands-on training in reading and interpreting CBCT images within the context of advanced endodontic treatments. The workshop was supervised by Dr. Mohammad Abou Shanab, with participation from postgraduate students in the Department of Endodontics at University of Latakia.
  • Specialized Workshop in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Planning:
Participants were trained in analyzing CBCT images for surgical purposes and dental implant planning under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Droubi, with clinical applications based on real-world cases.
  • Digital smile design workshop and intraoral scanner use:

Conducted by Dr. Ayser Al-Qudsi, this workshop trained attendees on the steps of 2D smile design and the use of intraoral scanners for accurate clinical data documentation and transfer.

These workshops align with the university’s commitment to supporting digital transformation in clinical education and enhancing students' and graduates' proficiency in modern dental technologies.

Special thanks to the supervising professors and participating students for their efforts in advancing academic and practical skills.
