Signing of a Scientific MoU Between Al Andalus University for Medical Sciences and Cihan University-Erbil, Iraq

In line with its commitment to fostering international academic and scientific collaborations, Al Andalus University for Medical Sciences signed a scientific Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cihan University-Erbil in the Republic of Iraq.

Prof. Dr. Kanaan Al-Tamimi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs at Al Andalus University, visited Cihan University-Erbil, where he was received by Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Ad-Dalwi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, along with the university's Assistant President for Scientific Affairs.

The meeting began with a warm welcome for the visiting delegation, followed by an overview of Cihan University-Erbil’s achievements and academic standing. The university holds a prestigious position among Iraq’s public and private institutions, ranking second nationally in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Multidisciplinary Sciences Ranking.

Subsequently, in a formal ceremony, Prof. Dr. Kanaan Al-Tamimi and Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Ad-Dalwi signed the scientific MoU—a significant step toward strengthening academic ties and scientific exchange between the two institutions.

In closing, both parties expressed their optimism that this agreement would pave the way for fruitful future cooperation, further expanding their academic and scientific partnership.
